If your older Kaba Mas X-0 or CDX-0 series lock isn’t powering up, you might be able to temporarily restore function by spinning the dial with a drill.
To do this, you can use a dial puller with a drill attachment or a rubber cup that fits over the dial, inserting a flat-head bolt in the center. Secure the dial puller or press the rubber cup onto the dial, then set your drill to reverse and spin the dial for a few seconds. Once the screen lights up and the numbers appear, continue spinning for a few more turns before entering your combination as usual.
After gaining access to your door or drawer, it’s best to upgrade to the new X-10 or CDX-10 lock models.
